Nossa Senhora da Ajuda Palace

It was built at the beginning of the 19th century, by order of militia colonel Luís Bernardo de Sousa Estrela, and is now owned by the heirs of Luis Athayde Motta, his direct descendant.

The name of this site comes from the fact that there is a chapel with an image of Our Lady of Ajuda. In the parish of Fenais de Vera Cruz, there is a Nossa Senhora da Ajuda convent church of the Order of St. Francis, belonging to this same family.
