Vegetable Fibers

During the settlement of the islands, vegetable fibers were one of the first natural resources for the manufacture of assorted objects. Mats, baskets, hats, dolls made of maize husks, chairs seats, and objects made of fig pit are some of the examples of the artisanal artistry that played an important role in everyday life at that time.
