Ponta Delgada White Ocean

It takes place on the first Saturday of August, and is one of the largest outdoor summer parties in Ponta Delgada. The streets are decorated in summer-like motifs and the people dressed in white, in order to commemorate the freshness of the summer days, and in an allusion to the foam of the ocean’s waves. All around the city, there are regional artists performing, eating and drinking stands, music and DJs, which attract thousands of people to the city’s gate, thus turning this emblematic monument into a large dance floor.
