Houses of ‘O’

When visiting Fenais, pay attention to the façades of the houses. Notice how, in many, you will find an O-shaped window. This architectural particularity makes these residences known as the 'O' houses. This is a very old architectural style that, therefore, has a history of its own. It is likely that each of the O-shaped windows can be traced in time by their construction style. It is thought that these the O-shaped windows were built in the façade to allow the houses to have natural ventilation in summer, as well as natural light.
